TORAH SCHOOL ACADEMY

The Torah School Academy, for Grade 8, Grade 9 and Grade 10, meets weekly on Sunday mornings at 11:00. The Academy year is divided into four quarters, with courses designed to reinforce Jewish identity and connections. Subjects for classes have included Modern Israel, Tikkun Olam, The Holocaust, Jewish Cooking and Jews in Film. The Grade 10 Confirmation Program includes a trip to the Reform Movement’s Religious Action Center in Washington D.C. where the students become actively engaged in the governmental process by promoting their discussions and projects with political leaders. A Confirmation Service on Shavuot is created and led by the students under the guidance of the Rabbi.
