We are a patchwork quilt made up of over 350 families with varying Jewish backgrounds; nontheless, we all embrace the teachings of Reform Judaism.
God, Torah and Israel are central to our belief system. As Reform Jews we also believe in the mitzvot of acts of loving kindness (Gimilut Chasadim) and repairing our world (Tikkun Olam). Also paramount to our beliefs is the equality of men and women, the role of lay leaders in synagogue worship, the acceptance of diversity, and reaching out to Jews-by-choice. Although we hold on to the sacred traditions of Judaism, we also believe that Judaism is not a stagnant religion, but a live, evolving faith. This means that at times, innovations must be accepted in order to meet the challenges of our modern world.
